A legend has returned. One of Australia’s most highly awarded beers, our Little Dove New World Pale Ale is back. And this winter, it’s bigger and better than ever.
Available for a limited time only, Little Dove has gone large and will be released in a 500mL tall boy can (and on tap). While the can has been super-sized, the award-winning recipe remains the same. Expect Little Dove’s much-loved tropical aromas of guava and stone fruit, balanced by its trademark sweet malt backbone and medium bitterness.
Originally launched in 2016, Little Dove raised eyebrows, dropped jaws and salivated palates when it took out Australia’s most prestigious beer award, Champion Australian Beer at the Australian International Beer Awards. Released nationally and quickly moved into the Gage core range, Little Dove grew to become a favourite of beer lovers across the country, while continuing to pick up beer competition trophies and medals.
“Creating Little Dove was such a great experience. It was a true collaboration within the brew team. The process was equal parts fun and challenging, playing out over a few months. I remember us getting together to share beers, talk about what we loved to drink and setting out to create the best beer we possibly could. Those sessions led to Little Dove,” says Gage OG Aaron Heary.
However, all good things must come to an end, and for Little Dove it was no different. After seven years, the award-winning brew was retired from the core range. Since then, it hasn’t been available in can or on tap. Until now.
“Sometimes you need to say goodbye to things you love. But that doesn’t mean they’re gone forever. We all love a comeback and Gage fans have been shouting for it, so we listened. We’re so proud to bring back this special brew as our winter limited release.
“I’ve never seen the brewery team so excited. To bring back Little Dove is something that the entire crew are pumped for, and we can’t wait to give beer fans a taste of nostalgia, one tin and pint at a time.”
