By the Sea with Amy Pearl

We’re hitting the waves for the 19th instalment of our ‘By The Sea’ series – a unique through the lens exploration of what’s driving Australia’s most talented young creatives. This month we venture behind the lens of the ocean-obsessed Amy Markham aka Amy Pearl, as she encapsulates the essence of life beside the sea with her Husband and two-year-old daughter.

Self-described as “just a full-time mamma who likes to surf and take photos”, Amy was drawn to the ocean at an early age. She spent her teens surfing, all the while falling more deeply in love with the beauty and boundless freedom she found within the waves. Inspired, she saved for her first camera and set about developing her unique style through years of dedicated trial and error; artfully capturing the playful, relaxed spirit of surfing with an authentic passion. Amy boasts an aesthetic that encapsulates the delight of colour, texture and depth.
