Adventure: Outside the Walls- the Stirling Range

The South West of WA isn’t exactly known for its high peaks.  It’s sea level living for most us, save for a few hills that reach above undulating. One of those hills is Bluff Knoll (Koi Kyenunu-ruff if you’re a true local). The Bluff is the highest peak in the Stirling Range, bursting out of the flat coastal plains about 5 hours drive south from our home base in Fremantle. At 1095m it’s the highest mountain for a thousand kilometers.

Not unlike trees, mountains are meant to be climbed. Jack Searls and pals set out to do just that. When he’s not climbing hills, Jack is the man behind local outfitters Noap Studio.
