Remember our International Women’s Day release, Freo Haze Hazy Pale Ale? Well, not only was it delicious, but it’s doing some good.
We’re stoked to again team up with the legends at Pink Boots Society, with $10,000 in Freo Haze proceeds funding ten national scholarships to help women in their beer career. The scholarships will be awarded nationally, and include “Women in Leadership”, “New Managers” and “People Leadership” programs run through the Australian Institute of Management.
One of last year’s scholarship winners, Ashley Allen says if you’re thinking about applying, do it!
“The Women in Leadership course I took has been one of the most powerful pieces of training/education I’ve done. The course helped strengthen my self-awareness, leadership abilities and management skills.
“I would strongly encourage anybody considering a scholarship this year to apply. This was a life changing course, with bigger implications than just progressing my career. Sometimes we get so caught up in the day-to-day that we lose sight of the bigger picture, but it’s important we don’t just focus on doing our jobs – but also looking for opportunities for growth. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity I was given by the Pink Boots Society,” says Ashley.
Applications are now open to Pink Boots Society Australia members, with non-members able to sign up to Pink Boots Society to be eligible to apply. Applications close on Monday 15th August, 5pm AEST. Click here for more info.
