TELL ME MORE
Death by Denim are a pack of local Perth rascals, known for their chaotic energy, contrasting shiny synth dance rock and brooding lyricism. They have officially entered their fun era with ‘My House Is A Club’. The EP reflects an anarchic state of mind, bright sparkly nights filled with madness giving way to dark dirty days filled with sadness. Sonically it’s bold, chaotic, and thumping with lyrical undertones of aimlessness masked by hedonistic nights. You’re in for a TREAT.
Sophian is led by Maldivian-born frontman Soph Manik, with the vocals reminiscent of a smooth Jeff Buckley and the edge of a young Caleb Followill. The band consists of Julia Krsanac (bass), Tyler Vivian (drums), and Michael Madafferi (guitar). Sophian are freshly new to the WA scene having only formed in the early days of 2022 yet they are making ripples with WAM nominations, supporting and touring with big names such as Coterie, Dice, South Summit, Bootleg Rascal and are soon to headline a tour of Australia themselves.
Angie Coleman Originally from the Perth hills, Angie Colman now calls Freo home, bringing with her a brand of country tinted indie rock alongside her impressive voice, that has been welcomed into the local music scene, taking home the best Blues and Roots song for 2022 at the WAM awards.
