Ep 2 of our new poddie has dropped, and this week we sit down with the legends from Perth punk band Sly Withers.
The Sly dudes have been on a heck of a run. After getting together at high school and making pennies busking by the beach, they’ve taken their brand of pop punk national. Album number two (Gardens) has been out for a few months, with punters and critics alike frothin’ at the sounds and stories laid down.
Since then, there’s been national tours, live performances on Triple J and a heap of fun.
This ep, we chat with the band’s guitar wielding frontmen Jono and Sam about a heap of stuff including;
2.40: Sam’s love of pro-wrestling
4.30: Busking mash-up covers at the beach back in the day
13.50: Gardens launch shows and the relief of releasing album number two
26.00: Triple J comes calling and covering Coldplay
