Return of the Blackwood

Harvested by hand, brewed with passion. Gage Roads’ second limited release Blackwood Wet Hop Pale Ale is a real labour of love. Teaming back up with Trey and his band of merry men we packed up the work ute, rolled up the swags and headed back to Karridale Hop Farm. Five of our most enthusiastic brewers harvested 10kg each of chinook and cascade – from the bine to the tank in three hours. This limited release was firstly wet hopped then dry hopped giving it a flavoursome & aromatic smooth, sessionable quality.

Tasting notes | Alc: 4.7 %
American Style Pale ale fermented on freshly picked wet chinook and cascade hop cones harvested by our brewers from Karridale Hop Farm. Used within three hours of harvest within the brewing process. Further dry hopped with dry chinook and cascade cones from Karridale. Yielding a fantastic citrus fruit hop aroma and strong resin character on the palate. A real labour of love this beer shines a light on these fantastic locally produced hops.
